With the purpose of this role is to achieve a high level of quality control within the factory and supply chain environment ensuring Quality is a primary priority, while working to health and safety standards.
The individual will be responsible for undertaking and documenting a variety of robust inspection and testing techniques that been agreed between the business and the customer/suppliers.
To ensure that everything from raw materials through production processes, meets quality and safety standards specified in the purchasing/project and product documentation. Methodical, Accurate, Timely Testing.
Conduct inspection activities against drawings and specification to verify that the manufacturing process output is compliant.
Maintain and calibrate inspection, measuring and test equipment in line with company procedures as and when required.
Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs or segregation of non-conforming equipment.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work confirming re-work as required within and outside of the business.
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting, and returning unacceptable materials via procurement.
Approves sub-contracted work either on site or externally as an when required by the business.
Help with the auditing process as required:
Support internal auditors during systems and process audits.
Coordinate the identification, segregation, control, and documentation of non-conforming product, including internal scrap, re-work, concessional items, and customer returns.
Support production in resolving queries with customer information, related IT systems to assist in the process.
Maintaining accurate records and presenting statistics: Record and maintain inspection and test records.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records (both paper and electronic) of the calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment stored in the standards room or nominated area.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records (both paper and electronic) of non-conforming product, including internal scrap, rework, concessional items and customer returns.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of audits undertaken.
Analyse data recorded and present statistics/reports as required.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of any involvement in problem solving activities.
Highlighting problems and helping establish root causes and improvements.
Liaise with the project, operation & industrial teams, in finding solutions to highlighted problems

Maintains his/her own professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, etc. as appropriate and other relevant NDE standards.

CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector (3.0)
PCN Level 2 Penetrant Testing (PT/DPI)
PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI)
