
Overview
To provide knowledge and practical skills that ensure the safe and effective delivery of electrical manufacturing and installation including electrical maintenance activities as requested by the Team Leader.
To perform high standards of work and produce on time quality products.
Key Accountability's
Safety, Health and Environment
Ensure and deliver safe standards of workmanship that comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
Ensure all aspects of electrical activities are carried out in a safe manner and comply with all the relevant health and safety legislation.
Responsibility for the personal health, welfare and safety of those executing work.
Produce risk assessments, safe-working procedures and deliver safety conversations; Tool Box talks that actively engage the teams/individuals performing production tasks.
Ensure that all workshop and panel shop activities being undertaken are done so with a view to minimise any impact on the environment. e.g. waste segregation & management.
Quality
Undertake continuous in process inspection and testing activities with the team, applying practical methods and corrective actions to deliver high standards of workmanship at all stages of the process.
Communication
Ensure that equipment, services and information are available for the team to effectively complete all production demands.
Maintain communication that ensures efficient interaction with colleagues and guidance of support services during installation and manufacturing activities.
Technical
Read electrical drawing, assess the parts need for a job and assist electrical engineer to place order.
Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial electrical systems, including fault finding, rewiring, monitoring, conduct routine maintenance and testing on electrical systems.
Install electrical systems to BS7671(17th edition) wiring regulations
Carry out electrical control panel manufacturing form layout and schematic drawing, wiring DC and AC electrical motor (star and delta), earth-loop impedance testing, insulation resistance testing, polarity and continuity testing.
Liaising with Other Departments
Engineering:
To provide materials, information and support to the design team.
Production and maintenance:
To provide technical input into work instructions and production methodology.
Stores & Logistics
To issue materials and kits of parts.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

Experience & Knowledge
Knowledge of low voltage (up to 1000 volt) electrical installation
Knowledge of industrial electrical installation and commissioning.
