TSP Engineering have been announced as runners up in the 2017 Chamber of Commerce Awards. The manufacturing business in Workington was the only Cumbrian business to have been shortlisted in the national awards after winning the regional award in the Health and Wellbeing category, which recognises businesses that go the extra mile to look after their workforce and actively promote health and wellbeing.
This is the second year running that TSP Engineering, has made the national final. Last year it missed out narrowly in the ‘Commitment to People Development’ section.
John Coughlan, Director and Chief Operating Officer said “I am incredibly proud of all that we at TSP Engineering do – of our staff and collectively of the team. “We are constantly trying to make health and wellbeing an everyday part of the workplace – promoting a healthy lifestyle and taking part in health improving activities has been found to boost morale and team working.”
The very best of British business were celebrated at the British Chamber of Commerce’s annual Chamber Business Awards ceremony last night. The Chamber Business Awards, which is now in its 14th year, is one of the showpiece events in the business calendar, highlighting the role of business in delivering growth and prosperity for the UK and local communities.
Businesses from across the country came together at the gala dinner, hosted by TV presenter Kate Thornton, to mark the outstanding achievements of both UK firms and Chambers of Commerce.
