TSP Engineering will represent the North West in the national final of the Chamber Business Awards 2017 as we have been named as a regional winner in the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ category, which recognises businesses that go the extra mile to look after their workforce and actively promote health and wellbeing.

This is the second year running that TSP Engineering has made the national final. Last year we missed out narrowly in the‘Commitment to People Development’ section.

Now in their 14th year, the Chamber Business Awards are run by the British Chambers of Commerce. They are a highlight of the business calendar, recognising the key role that local businesses play in driving the UK economy.

The national finals take place in London on November 30.

Rob Johnston, Chief Executive of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said: “We have some world-class businesses in Cumbria and TSP is one of them.

“I’m absolutely delighted that the lengths they go to, to look after their workforce, have been recognised and I wish them well in the national final.”

He added: “TSP are a model and exemplar for other employers. Businesses that look after their employees find it easier to recruit and retain staff.

“This approach will become vital as the UK as whole, and Cumbria in particular, faces skills shortages aggravated by an ageing workforce and, potentially, restrictions on immigration post Brexit.”
