It’s no secret that we love awards here at TSP Engineering, and why wouldn’t we?

When working in such a fast-paced high-pressured industry it’s important to excel, stand out from your competitors and strive to be the best. A nice plaque and framed certificates in reception presented by established independent highly-trained professionals shows how brilliant we are, giving solid evidence that we are genuinely good at what we do. Awards are also a great way to show recognition and appreciation for the talent and hard work within our team.

We recently received some fantastic news informing us that Instrumentation Apprentice, Jade Hughes, is a Regional Finalist for ‘Engineering Apprentice of the Year: Rising Star’ for the MAKE UK 2019 Awards. The category of ‘Rising Star’ is designed for apprentices who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the early years of their engineering apprenticeship, making significant contribution to support the activities of their employer, and showing great potential for the future.

John Coughlan, CEO of TSP Engineering, stated: “We are really pleased that Jade has been shortlisted as a Finalist for the MAKE UK 2019 Awards, the UK’s National Manufacturing Organisation. Jade now joins a band of others at TSP Engineering who over the last three years have been shortlisted for prestigious UK awards, demonstrating the serious capability we have within the business”

Jade has done all of this and more, and quite honestly, we couldn’t be prouder. Since starting TSP Engineering Jade has been a breath of fresh air, her confidence, willingness to learn, and excellent quality of work has earnt her the respect of the team around her and those superior.

Jade Hughes said: “It’s amazing to think that a young girl from a small town in Cumbria like myself could potentially win such a high-profile award. Winning this award would prove no matter your gender, background or age you can achieve big things”.

We are extremely proud of Jade for being shortlisted as a Regional finalist for such an amazing award and couldn’t be happier to see hard-working ambitious members of the TSP Team be recognised for their work ethic and attitude. Well done Jade, we have everything crossed for you!
